Interesting episode with a terrorist theme and the plot twist.

This "T. J. Hooker" episode called "Blood Sport" from season 5 number 16 which aired first on May 21, 1986 was a good one, an episode that was filled with tense drama and action and the plot twist with a surprise reveal in the end. The story involves around Hooker(Shatner) being given the assignment of going to Hawaii to guard and protect a current U. S. Senator and old friend of his while the Senator is promoting the passage of a terrorist bill. However it's never easy and things get more complex and crazy when a Japanese connection is discovered on the island as it involves the Senator's wife(Kim Miyori). Memorable in this episode is how Stacy and the politician's wife are kidnapped and held hostage(as both Heather Locklear and Kim Miyori are tied up and gagged having damsels in distress scenes.) Overall well done episode with tense drama that twist showing how people and things are complex and not to be trusted.

When a show goes to Hawaii...

Warning: Spoilers
Then you know it's jumped the shark. For some reason Tubi shows this as the final episode. For that I'm glad because I really had to suspend belief throughout the series with all the exploding cars and Hooker becoming almost a superhero.

The whole premise of this episode is ridiculous. Why on earth would Hooker, Stacy and Corrigan be sent to Hawaii? The senator was so loathsome that I didn't care what happened to him. The whole storyline was extremely boring and I think this was the weakest show of the series.

I have nothing else to write however I need 600 characters so I'm trying to come up with something else to say.
