A Stranger Waits tells the story of a wealthy widow who finds a mysterious man come into her life. Is this a future love interest? Or does the man have darker intentions?

Starring industry veteran Tom Atkins as the obligatory police officer who has his suspicions this made for television "Thriller" is a harmless way of killing 90 minutes but don't expect any surprises.

It plods along at it's own pace, has a predictible twist and never reaches a quality of higher than below average at best.

Passable for folks who enjoy the likes of Lifetime movies.

Dragons lairs were very disappointing in the 80's

Recently widowed, Kate Bennington (Suzanne Pleshette) returns from a trip to find that her caretaker has died tragically in a fall. The Sheriff (Tom Atkins) isn't so sure it was an accident. Still struggling to get over her husband's death, a young man (aka: a male model) named Mike keeps appearing at her front door, and quickly becomes the new caretaker!

Cooper (Paul Benjamin), the chauffeur tries to warn Kate about this guy, but she dismisses his concerns. Of course, we know something about Mike that Kate doesn't. Something she needs to know, badly! We know this for two reasons: REASON #1- We saw what happened at the beginning, while Kate was still gallivanting on her trip! REASON #2- Mike stood over her and let us know what he was thinking! Annnd, it was quite enlightening!

What the...?

Oh great! Now, they're an item. Thankfully, the bothersome Sheriff keeps digging into the dead caretaker's case. He's not so sure about old lover boy! Kate, Kate, Kate!

Oh my!

Now, another death takes place. Will Kate ever open her eyes? Ugh!

Wha...?

Oh, so now Mike's long-lost "sister" shows up?! Wow! They're REALLY close! It just gets crazier from here. Kate, you're on your own.

P.S.- Nice finale though!...
