Pheelz is perhaps best known as the Nigerian producer who’s contributed to notable releases like Fireboy Dml’s Apollo, Olamide’s Carpe Diem, and Tiwa Savage’s Celia. But he worked both the boards and the mic on his latest single, “Finesse.” He floats across the slinky beat, built around gentle guitar, subtle drum rolls, and other delicate percussion; so does his guest Bnxn, the artist formerly known as Buju.

Hey everyone! Before we wrap up the month of January, we have one more week of horror and sci-fi home media releases, and there is a lot to look forward to this Tuesday. Kier-La Janisse’s stunning documentary Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched is getting its own release and is also included in Severin’s amazing Folk Horror compendium that includes a ton of great films beyond Janisse’s doc.
There are a ton of other great titles coming home on Tuesday, too, including Prano Bailey-Bond’s Censor, Arrebato, the cult classic Creature, Detention, Eyes of Fire, Trauma, a limited edition release of Sleep, and a 4K edition of Blood for Dracula.

Vicente Fernández, the indisputable king of traditional Mexican ranchera music, will get the biopic series treatment from a joint production between Univision and Televisa. The two Spanish-language mass media companies will adapt the series from the book “El Último Rey” (“The Last King”) by Argentine journalist and author Olga Wornat. Televisa reached an agreement with Editorial Planeta to acquire the rights to the unauthorized biography of “El Charro de Huentitán’s” life.
After a fruitful career selling over 50 million records and appearing in more than 30 films, the successful musician and businessman died Dec. 12, 2021. He was 81 and survived by his wife, Maria del Refugio Abarca Villaseñor, his three children and the thousands of admirers he amassed globally who mourned his loss. Telemundo is getting a slice of the streaming wars pie: The American Spanish-language NBCUniversal network will launch Tplus, a new bilingual content brand designed to serve U.S. Hispanics, on Peacock.
Upcoming tiles include Telemundo’s biggest and most beloved franchises, from “Yo Soy Betty la Fea” to “Café con Aroma de Mujer,” as well as upcoming original projects like a documentary film based on the life of soccer icon Lionel Messi, a docu-series centered on Colombian artist J Balvin and a reality dating series from Red Arrow’s Kinetic Content, the production company behind “Love is Blind,” among others. The hub’s initial programming slate will exclusively be available to the platform’s premium subscribers.
