Trivia

This television film features eight deaths (six men and two women). Since an account book, Johnny's diary, and a key on Barbara Leguire's costume had no existences whatsoever, Barbara and Leora were both being dishonest along with Helen. Johnny, Carl, and Brad all believed them. That is what led to their unexpected deaths. Reggie and John only murdered Barbara, Bundy, and Leora. See more »

Quotes

Reggie Diaz: If I catch you outside this hotel again, you are dead!
Mike Hammer: Save it for the ring, pal.
Brad Peters: Wait! I've been looking all over for you. I was backstage last night recognizing that guy you were chasing. His name is Bundy.
Mike Hammer: Why didn't you tell me that before?
Brad Peters: I couldn't. Not with Amy around. I know him from his place I used to go to. The Rosy Buttes Ranch. He works there.
Mike Hammer: What is he? A cowboy?
Brad Peters: No, he's a bouncer.

Not Gritty Enough For Mike Hammer, But Fine For TV.
16 March 2007 | by ElswetSee all my reviews

The only problem with this movie series was the Made4TV factor. Mike Hammer was a rough-n-ready detective, much like the old Cannon series cross-bred with Sherlock Holmes, with a little New Yorker thrown in for good measure. The M4TV movies just couldn't do all that and still get the general audience clearing they needed for their time slot. They are therefore, lacking in edgy toughness needed to perpetrate a full on assault of the senses one would expect from this franchise.

Stacy Keach, however, is the epitome of perfect casting. He was the absolute best actor for this role. I always enjoy these movies, regardless of their downfalls.

This one rates a 6.4/10 on the M4TV scale from...
