Madhuri Dixit had many flops during her early career when she met her on sets of Karma 1986 where she was shooting for her film Aawara Baap 1985.Subash Ghai offered her a dance number in Karma 1986 which got edited out so he decided to do her grand launch with Ram Lakhan 1989 but destiny had something different for Madhuri Dixit as Tezaab 1988 released first and she became an overnight star.
Film's soundtrack released in October 1988 and was the first hindi film to have its soundtrack in CD format. Before Ram Lakhan audio cassette and LP were the preferred audio formats.
