  Ralph : Stop that!

  Jack Merridew : Why don't you take your fat friend and shove off! You've had all the meat you can eat. Come on, hunters! Roger's the pig!

• [Steve and Rapper are at Ralph's camp] 

  Piggy : So what do you want?

  Steve : Jack wants the survival knife

  Piggy : It's not his, it belongs to the camp!

  Rapper : Yeah? Well there's a new camp now, and he wants it!

  Steve : Yeah, and Tony wants his shoes and socks and all his junk

  Ralph : Take Tony's stuff but you can't have the survival knife!

  Piggy : He's a defector, just another damn defector

  Tex : It's because of the monster

  Ralph : [Angrily]  I told you there's no monster! Tony knows there's no monster! Tony just wants to be a hunter is all and he's too chickenshit to come down and get his stuff himself!

  Sheraton : But what if there *is* some kind of big animal?

  Tex : Yeah

  [Steve and Rapper walk away. Sheraton, Patterson and Tex follow them] 

  Piggy : [Sarcastically]  Oh, great. Two more traitors!

  Tex : Sorry, Ralph

  Piggy : Good riddance!

  [Ralph walks past Pablo and sits down, crying between his knees] 

• [At nighttime, the Twins walk down the rocky slope to where Sheraton and Steve are] 

  Steve : About time. You guys by yourselves?

  Sam, Twin #1 : Yep

  Sheraton : [as he follows Steve up the rocky slope]  Listen, you two, you have to stay awake, you know

  Eric, Twin #2 : Give us a break!

  Sam, Twin #1 : What do you think, you have to be 11-years-old or else you can't stand a dumbass watch?

  Sheraton : Just stay awake

  [continues walking out of sight] 

  Sam, Twin #1 : [to Eric]  What's the big deal? There's nobody left except Ralph

  Eric, Twin #2 : They're scared of the monster

  Sam, Twin #1 : [Confused]  You said we didn't believe in the monster, you said...?

  Eric, Twin #2 : I'm pretty sure we don't

  [Ralph secretly arrives] 

  Ralph : [Whispers]  Sam... Eric... it's me

  Sam, Twin #1 : You shouldn't be around here, Ralph

  Eric, Twin #2 : You're not allowed. The hunter's are gonna come after you

  Sam, Twin #1 : Yeah. And Jack had Roger sharpen his stick at both ends

  Ralph : If that happens... it will be because *you* let it happen. If you don't stand up to him, you're just another one of his slaves

  Steve : [From atop the cliff, unseen]  Hey, keep alert down there!

  [Ralph runs away, the Twins look very nervous] 

• [At nighttime, Sheraton and Andy are on fire watch together] 

  Sheraton : What time is it?

  Andy : What difference does it make?

  Sheraton : Well, if I knew what time it was, I'd know what's on TV. I'm not even sure what day it is

  Andy : It's Monday

  Sheraton : Are you sure?

  Andy : I'm sure

  Sheraton : Monday's... Monday's ALF!

  Andy : ALF comes on at 8 o'clock. It's a lot later than 8

  Sheraton : Yeah, but I bet we're in a different time zone. I bet it's really about 8 o'clock, and ALF's causing some trouble right now

  Andy : Yeah

• [Andy, Sheraton, Tony and Tex are on fire watch. Andy is holding a dead newt] 

  Sheraton : Do you think it has any protein in it?

  [Andy shrugs his shoulders] 

  Tony : Here, give it here

  [Andy does so. Tony rests the dead newt on his stick, and puts it on the flame] 

  Tex : I heard they're supposed to taste like chicken

  [Tony laughs, and shortly after takes the cooked newt off the fire. He takes one of the newt's legs off, and eats it] 

  Tony : Want some?

• [Jack and Roger are by the fire, where Sheraton and Tony are. Jack takes fire from a stick] 

  Jack Merridew : You should've seen it. He was scared shitless

  Tony : Do you think there was something in there? Some kind of wild animal or something?

  Jack Merridew : I know it. We heard it growl

  Sheraton : Is it close?

  Jack Merridew : Just over the big rise behind our camp. Real close

  Tony : Holy shit

  Jack Merridew : I just thought you ought to know

  Tony : Yeah

  Jack Merridew : Thanks for the fire

  [Jack and Roger walk down the hill where the Twins walk up with Peter] 

  Tony : Here come the reserves

  Jack Merridew : Better keep on your toes tonight, cadets

  Sam, Twin #1 : What do you mean?

  Jack Merridew : You'll find out

  Eric, Twin #2 : [Referring to the flaming stick]  What are you doing with that?

  Jack Merridew : The next time we kill a pig, we're gonna have a barbecue
