- The Australian DVD release has additional dialogue between Will and John Alexander as opposed to the U.S. release, which cut down some of the dialogue.
- The Italian dvd from Stormovie (with the title "American Kickboxing" on the box) features the same Australian print, displaying the title "Blood Brothers" and with the extended use of the butterfly knife in the "bar scene".
- The UK video version featured a shorter print which missed out some dialogue scenes and footage of butterfly knives. The DVD runs around 7 mins longer and features the complete version.
- The U.S. version cuts out all references to President Bush arriving at Tampa International Airport, where Franco and Russo had planned to blow up Air Force One. This comes in right before the climatic fight sequences at the airport and hangar.
- The U.S. version omits some brief dialogue between John and Will at the karate dojo as well as all references to President George H.W. Bush.
- A few seconds of footage is cut from the 'Bar-Scam Scene' with Loren Avedon (This was the Australian home video version - possibly mastered from the UK print). The exact footage that is cut: when Loren flips open his "BUTTERFLY" knife. The whole flipping/folding part is cut out so that Loren appears to be holding a normal knife. In the Australian TV-version, the "Butterfly" Knife scene is UNCUT.
- Official Australian DVD release features the full "Butterfly Knife" scene without any cuts.
- For the Australian TV and home-video versions of the film, the opening credits cut to the title: "No Retreat No Surrender 3: Blood Brothers" and then cut back to the movie. For the recent DVD release, the opening credits simply cut to the title: "Blood Brothers", then cuts back to the movie.
