This article contains spoilers for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 1.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the biggest anime series of the past few years and with a feature film and second season on the way that’s not likely to change anytime soon. The thrilling action anime series depicts the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a budding Demon Slayer who’s recently become orphaned by monsters and had his sister transformed into one of their own kind.
There are no shortage of anime series where underdog protagonists with some variety of supernatural powers hunt deadly monsters, but the way in which Demon Slayer differentiates itself is through the powerful blades that the characters wield. These swords are often the last thing that demons will ever see, but there’s a lot more to understand about these weapons beyond the fact that they’re pretty darn sharp.

Vampires are immortal, unless a Slayer sticks a stake in them. But the actors who portray them are all-too-human, and thus, age in the way we all do.
That’s why Sarah Michelle Gellar says she believes she’s “long in the tooth” for any potential Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot.
Now 43-years-old, the actress made the comments while, appearing on the On with Mario Lopez podcast. While still remarkably young-looking, Gellar said the show requires a teenager in the role of The Slayer.
Gellar claimed she’s a “Wee bit, how do they say, long in the tooth for that.” The monsters Buffy faced “were a metaphor for the horrors of adolescence,” she explained. “I do think that story lends itself, it’d be interesting to see how a chosen one would deal with that. I don’t think it’s me, I don’t think I should be the one doing it.

AfterShock Comics wants its readers to be prepared for the very worst in indie writer David Pepose’s post-apocalyptic thriller Scout’s Honor.
At the heart of the series is a cult that has built itself in the aftermath of a nuclear war, with one artifact of the before-times as its guiding light: a Boy Scouts manual. But the series lead, Kit, has a secret that could upend the entire society in one fell swoop.

Buffy is 23. Which in Slayer years is, like, 300. But in all Scooby seriousness, it's time to celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the still-beloved cult classic that was critically beloved, adored and obsessed over by fans, and chronically underappreciated come award show time. One Emmy nomination for visual effects. One Golden Globe nomination for Sarah Michelle Gellar. Pfft, what do adults know, anyway? Everyone who watched and re-watched Joss Whedon's landmark take on a story that started as the 1992 film starring Kristy Swanson and Luke Perry, and then turned into so much more, knew knew that they were in on...

In the summer of 2018, it was announced that a reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was in the works, with original creator Joss Whedon attached as exec producer. Fans of the iconic late 90s/early 00s supernatural show were initially against the idea of redoing the series, but then new information seemed to point to be it being more of a continuation or sequel project rather than a reboot. Following this, stars of the old show started coming forward to say that they’d be up for a return.
Here we are a year and a half later though and the Buffy reboot has yet to materialize, but it is still in the works. And Anthony Head has made clear that he’d come back at the drop of a hat if asked. The British star memorably played Rupert Giles, high school librarian and secret Watcher, the guardian and father figure to Buffy Summers’ Slayer.

It’s taken years – more than a decade, really – but cult favorite Buffy The Vampire Slayer is finally on the verge of a second coming. And we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Series creator Joss Whedon is back behind the wheel, and while it won’t feature some of the original stars (namely Sarah Michelle Gellar), there is still hope that the likes of James Marsters (Spike) and Co. will reprise their respective roles. Fingers crossed.
Better yet is that today, the New York Post (h/t ComicBook.com) brings word of another: Anthony Head, best known for playing the Watcher and Buffy’s all-around father figure, Rupert Giles. Set to appear on Jason Sudeikis’s Apple+ series Ted Lasso, Head was quizzed about the upcoming reboot of Buffy The Vampire Slayer that has taken flight at Fox in recent months, at which point he revealed that, yes,...
