This series is another adorable "magic girl" anime I love. I vaguely remember watching the first two episodes online; I just didn't remember when. But I am fortunate to watch the series on YouTube.
Anyway, the story goes like this: twelve-year-old, tomboyish Himeko Nonohara was visited one night by a pretty girl who looks exactly like her with flowing hair. Her name is Erika, and she is a princess from a magic kingdom quite similar to the one in "Sally the Witch." She had come to give Himeko a magic ribbon/bracelet she had made for her to try. The testing of a magical invention made by a member of the royal family is part of qualifying for the throne. Well, the ribbon gives Hime the power to change into somebody, so long as she stands in front of a mirror. The ribbon also makes Hime's beloved stuffed lion, Pokota, come to life to help her in the many misadventures that follow. So, that is all I could tell you, folks.
I really love the friendship Hime shares with Pokota and Erika; I thought it was so sweet. So all in all, I love every bit of this adorable series with its wonderful story and animation. I hope someday the series will be released on North American DVDs and the manga will be in English as well.
