"The Itsy Bitsy Spider" is an American cartoon from over 20 years ago and it runs for 7 minutes just like they usually do. The writer-director trio were fairly experienced ("Scrooged" etc) and the voice actors are all pretty famous today as well, mostly Jim Carrey of course who voiced the exterminator here, briefly before his rise to popularity in "Ace Ventura". Funny to see how he still goes by the name James Carrey here, sounds like James Cagney. Anyway, the story in this one is nothing too special. A girl makes friends with a spider, but the music teacher and her cat want her out of the house and so they call an exterminator. Of course, the spider is too smart for them and every attempt to get rid off her backfires. But the tune is so memorable and really catchy. All in all, a decent cartoon. Probably one of the best from the 90s that hadn't too much too offer in terms of cartoons anymore. I recommend the watch.

A forgotten animation from the 90s by Paramount, released as a companion piece for the movie Bebe's Kids. It was directed by Matthew O'Callaghan, the same director of the Looney Tunes 3D shorts, starring Jim Carrey in his first voice acting role.

O'Callaghan does a nice tribute to classic chase cartoons (Such as Tom and Jerry) here, with a seemingly mundane situation soon escalating into the most over the top kind of slapstick anyone can imagine.

The short was apparently succesful enough to inspire a full series, although I never had the chance to see it (And I'm not really sure if it was even released in my country)
