Truly enjoyable

I must admit that I was drawn to watching this movie only because of the title, which is probably the only inappropriate thing in the whole movie.

A truly wonderful movie with a fine cast covering sexism, feminism, love, relationships ............. Reminded me of "When Harry Met Sally" many times.

Great Movie!!!

Hey everybody! Here is a film worth watching. Not only is it set on one of the best cities in the world - Montreal, Canada - it is a discussion about extreme sexism.

anyone should see it: feminists, male chauvinists, indifferent people, people who are just trying to get along... :)

Bit of a quiet classic

As the last person mentioned, this film is a bit of a When Harry Met Sally in that it analyses nitty gritty the ins and outs of sexual politics, exploding stereotypes, political correctness and the myths of relationships and gender etc. Only it goes a good deal further in breaking this stuff down.. it's a gripping yarn as one guy examines the injustices of being a bloke in or out of love in a society where gender roles are in flux and double standards abound. Often very funny and fascinating mostly it's a shame this seems so hard to find.

Excellent movie

Lots of frank discussion about love and sex and men and women. Nice and slow build up in character development and romantic tension. Kind of predictable. Great ending. Hey, doesn't Miranda de Pencier sound just like Kelli Williams from "The Practice"?

Delightful War of the Sexes

The psychology professor Jimmy Rovinsky (Bruce Dinsmore) shares an apartment with his best friends, the womanizer Sean (Burke Lawrence) and the cigarettes addicted Tim (Mark Camacho). He accepts to participate in a feminist project and is interviewed blindfolded and in the dark by the mysterious Jane Doe (Miranda de Pencier). Along the experiment, Jimmy exchanges feelings and opinions about women and sentiments with Jane Doe, affecting his relationship with his former lover Paula (Macha Grenon) and his unrequited love with his friend Mimi (Ruth Marshall).

The romantic comedy "The Myth of the Male Orgasm" is a delightful war of the sexes from the 90's, with witty dialogs and a charming cast. This is the second time that I watch this film and after so many years, the plot is still wonderful. The chemistry of actors and actresses is another attraction in this lovely movie. My vote is eight.

Title (Brazil): "O Mito do Orgasmo Masculino" ("The Myth of the Male Orgasm")
