On Sunday, January 24th, Fox will bring back Chris Carter’s brilliant series, The X-Files, for a six-episode revival run that will reunite beloved FBI Special Agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) for more alien-related exploits.
The last time we saw The X-Files on the airwaves during its initial run was back in May 2002, so if you watched the series throughout its nine seasons, you may be in need of a refresher on all the key players and integral storylines that make up the core mythology of The X-Files.
Mythology in regards to The X-Files could mean various things: the existence of aliens and how our government plays into that, various characters that fit in with different prophecies, the “Black Oil” that became a prominent antagonistic force during season three, the various conspirators and their attempts to derail Mulder and Scully’s work on the X-Files, Scully’s...

Having previously starred on Gilmore Girls and her own show Mike and Molly, Melissa McCarthy was well-known to TV audiences before her breakout performance in this summer's surprise smash [1] Bridesmaids. Since then she's been mentioned as the possible star [2] of several projects and now she's finally committed to one. She'll appear in Judd Apatow's Untitled 2012 film (rumored to be called This is Forty) that's currently in production [3]. It stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their roles from Knocked Up and, in the film, McCarthy will play a mother at the school where their kids attend. Plus, McCarthy's son will be played by Ryan Lee, who just starred in Super 8 as the pyromaniac Cary. Read more after the jump. The Hollywood Reporter [4] broke the news of the mother and son casting but weren't sure how substantial either role is. At this point, while McCarthy has the heat to headline her own movie,...

It's no secret that Judd Apatow likes to cast people over and over again in his movies. Large chunks of The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Funny People all feature the same actors, not to mention those populating the many films he's produced too. His currently-untitled next directorial feature, rumored to be called [1] This Is Forty, goes one step further, casting Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann as the exact same characters they played in Knocked Up. Plus, Variety is now reporting that three more Apatow alumni are joining the cast, which already includes Albert Brooks [2] and Megan Fox [3]. They are Chris O'Dowd (Bridesmaids), Lena Dunham (Tiny Furniture and Apatow's upcoming HBO show Girls) and Charlyne Yi (Paper Hearts, Knocked Up). Wyatt Russell (Cowboys & Aliens) has also been cast. The film, originally scheduled for a summer 2012 release, will now come out [4] December 21, 2012. Read who they are playing and more after the jump.

Remember "Love American Style," that campy show from the '70s where a different group of guest stars would star in comedic vignettes about romance in the modern age? Well, it's getting made over as a one-hour comedy for NBC called "Love Bites."
Becki Newton ("Ugly Betty") and Jordana Spiro ("My Boys") anchor the show as the last two single gals standing among their friends and will be there each and every week while a list of guest stars with their own stories will rotate in and out on a weekly basis.

Failed romance doesn't stop Justin Gaston from thinking about having a music collaboration with ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus. In a recent interview with MTV News, the 21-year-old singer opened up that he doesn't shut down possibility of making sweet music together with the 17-year-old songstress if the song is good.
"Ah sure. Maybe. In the future. I don't know," the "Paper Hearts" singer told MTV's Jim Cantiello. "If it's a great song, then why not." In the interview, the model for Taylor Swift's "Love Story" music video also jokingly added that if they were to remake the "Hannah Montana" star's hit single "The Climb", it would be called, "The Climb part 5...million".

Justin Gaston doesn't rule out possibility of making a duet with his ex-girlfriend Miley Cyrus. To MTV, he recently said, "Ah sure. Maybe. In the future. I don't know. If it's a great song, then why not."
The underwear model is even interested to re-record the "Hannah Montana" star's hit single "The Climb". If the collaborative project for the song remake indeed comes true, the aspiring singer would like to call it "The Climb Part 5... Million".
Justin Gaston is no stranger to music. He once participated at the sixth season of the country music singing competition "Nashville Star" and finished at the tenth position during the talent show. Recently, he debuted his new song "Paper Hearts" in an acoustic set for iHeartRadio.
In the meantime, Justin Gaston is currently starring in his own reality show "If I Can Dream". In the TV series created by Simon Fuller, he will be...

Miley Cyrus' former boyfriend Justin Gaston apparently has not forgotten about their break-up. To E! News, the "Nashville Star" alum has recently shared some of his deep thoughts on his failed romance to the "Hannah Montana" star.
"You can always tell when someone's getting ready to leave you," the 21-year-old singer said. "But you try so hard not to believe it and to hold on to every bit of hope that's left." He further shared, "I think everyone experiences the side of being hurt where you feel like you'll never feel again."
Gaston's debut single "Paper Hearts" is said to have been heavily influenced by his split from "The Last Song" leading lady. Though so, the model for Taylor Swift's music video for "Love Story" doesn't want people to feel sorry for him as he quickly added that "life goes on, and you move on. You look back at it and laugh.

It doesn't seem like Justin Gaston is over Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, but he's certainly hoping to move on. The decline of their relationship was one of last year's big issues in the entertainment world, but the model surely got something out of it - a song. What's more, he's pretty much gotten more famous thanks to his ties to the 17-year-old.
E! News managed to talk to the budding musician, since he released his debut single, a ballad titled "Paper Hearts", recently. Rumor has it that the song was heavily influenced by Gaston's breakup with Cyrus, but of course neither of them will address that directly.

Justin Gaston has a new song called "Paper Hearts". And the ex-boyfriend of Miley Cyrus recently went to the iHeart Radio to perform the track for the very first time. He is wearing checkered shirt and bringing his guitar while performing the acoustic version of the song.
The clip of his performance is kicked off with his commentary on what makes him want to be a musician. He is interested to play music since the age of 14. "I played baseball ... [but] I couldn't take it anymore for some reason," he said before adding about picking up his father's guitar and learning some chords.

One look at the filmmaker names below, and it appears as if the Sundance alumni have come out in droves. We find a known variety of filmmakers such as Spike Jonze (Being John Malcovich), Ira Sachs (Married Life), Nicholas Jasenovec (Paper Hearts), James Franco and the Zellner bros. who have dabbled this year in the short form while working in between their feature film projects. - I'd be willing to bet that its the commonly available digital filmmaking and editing technologies that is the core reason for the record breaking amount of short films submitted (6,092) to Sundance this year. Personally, you'll only hear me complain that watching movies is a tough job come day 8 of a major film festival, but imagine being one the programmers having to plow threw hundreds of pieces of crap in order to find something worth watching over a second time. "Even while I was talking, I was wondering, 'Why is this taking so long? What if Jimmy Fallon falls asleep when I tell this on his show?' I'm so sorry to put you through that." Honestly, it wasn't as bad as all that. And Yi, 23, drinking coffee in the lobby of New York's Algonquin Hotel, is honestly surprised to be sitting here, along with actor Jake Johnson, talking about what she thought of as her little movie, Paper Hearts, which opens today (8.07.09) in New York and Los Angeles. Getting ready for the Sundance Film Festival can be very exciting. As we await the event’s Thursday opening, we can’t stop wondering what will be the next big thing. Will this year’s hit be the highly-anticipated Michael Cera project Paper Hearts, or will it be something that we as of yet know nothing about? It’s easy to forget, however, that oftentimes the next big thing is also the next lamest thing. Sundance sensations, those films that are much-buzzed-about, that sell for a lot of money, that go on to be marketed like crazy and ultimately receive Oscar recognition, tend to lend themselves most easily to backlashes. Usually such derision is deserved, as in the case of the following ten films, each of which made a big splash at Sundance despite being bad. <img class="alignn ...

The Sundance Film Festival officially announced the lineup for the films playing in competition next month. The 16 movies will compete for the Grand Jury Prize in Park City, Utah at the 25th anniversary of the largest independent film festival in the U.S. from January 15-25.
The list was announced by festival director Geoff Gilmore, who recently received the first annual Sydney Pollack Award.
