A Classic!

Mahesh Bhatt's 'Sir' is amongst his finest films ever. The Performances are magnificent, The Screenplay is sharp & The Direction is just perfect. Need I Say More?

'Sir' tells the story of how a college teacher gets entangled in a brutal gang war.

'Sir' has strong merits, the narrative is highly superior & violent, as well. The Screenplay is sharp. Bhatt's Direction is just perfect. Music by Anu Malik is melodious.

Performance-Wise: Paresh Rawal is astounding. The versatile actor delivers a performance of a lifetime. To say that, he steals the show, would be an understatement. Gulshan Grover is another topper. He's incredible as the villain. Nasseruddin Shah is natural. Atul Agnihotri is very credible. Pooja Bhatt is remarkable. How one wishes if this talented performer had a longer career. Avtar Gill is in complete form.

On the whole, 'Sir' is a story worth watching.

Good Music-Good Acting

Sir is a story about a professor who makes a shy personality into something lively. The role of professor is played by veteran Naseeruddin Shah and that shay personality is none other than Pooja Bhatt. In between this, the professor also tries to change the mind of two underworld dons, Velji Bhai and Jimmy but the attempt remains unsuccessful. Again Mahesh Bhatt (I love you) describing relationships and personalities and characters and so on, along with something very romantic by Anu Malik. That romantic thing is music. "Aaj Hum Ne Dil Ka Har Kissa", "Sun Sun Sun Barsaat Ki Dhun" and "Yeh Ujli Chaandni Jab Hasraton Ko", are worth listening. The story may look quite boring in the second half for the viewers. But for me, it was fair.

What a movie... Paresh and Nasser sir were brilliant and have their best performance.

Gulshan Grover have again proved why he is famous for being a bad man in Bollywood. A big salute.

Sun sun barsaat ki dunn sunn... a lovely song from 90's era..
