The situations depicted in this film are fictitious and do not represent events in the lives of Rose, Norman, Jane and Honey Lindsay.
During the opening credits, Anthony Campion (Hugh Grant) walks past a number of paintings. One depicts four people and a dog on two canoes. As he walks past that one, the dog can be distinctly heard to bark once. Anthony even seems to hear it, as he goes back to the painting.
During the opening credits, the names are "erased" by the two men walking down the hall to the right.
