Sex & Nudity

  • The character of Xenia is that she kills men by sleeping with them, and squeezing them to death.

Violence & Gore

  • Xenia bites Bond's lip as they kiss and he hurls her into a wall, she kicks him and they both fall to the ground; Xenia then forces Bond down and straddles him, crushing his ribs with her thighs, all in the while Xenia is moaning and experiencing pleasure; as she is still attempting to kill him by squeezing him to death, Bond overpowers her, slamming her into walls, before placing her on top of a sauna stove, burning her, and eventually flipping her onto the ground. Played for laughs.
  • Bond, in a tank, fires at a train, then he escapes and the train crashes into the tank, resulting in a large explosion.
  • There's a shootout in a base in the beginning, and Bond arms a bomb and escapes the base, and the bomb explodes, destroying the entire place. Several men are shot int this scene, with little blood seen.
  • There's a brief shootout in Alec's base near the end, and Bond and several men shoot guns at each other, with two men being shot and killed.
  • Bond knocks a man over and knocks a grenade into some gas tanks, resulting in a large explosion. The explosion blows up the entire building, killing many people.
  • Bond slams a man into elevator walls, knocking him out.
  • Bond dispatches an attacker on a boat, and knocks him out.
  • Xenia slides down a cable and kicks at Bond, and then repeatedly kicks him before trying to crush him between her legs. She also head butts Natalya, but then Bond grabs a gun and fires at the helicopter her cable is attached to, and the copter retreats, causing her to be yanked against a tree, where she's crushed by the cable. Though as Xenia is the comic relief, this scene is played for laughs.
  • Bond hangs upside down and punches a man in the face, knocking him out.
  • Bond rabbit punches Xenia in the back of her head in a car, knocking her out.
  • Xenia shoots two men dead (bloody holes briefly seen on their chests). Played for laughs.
  • A large weapon discharges an EMP blast at a researchable, blowing up much of it up, and causing two nearby fighter jets to violently crash. One crashes into a cabin, and two women are killed. The cabin explodes.
  • Considered suitable for all/most audience in several countries, for a reason. You can see this in the Clasification section in this parents guide. It's an all public in french-speaking Quebec in Canada, in France, Italy, Japan and Malaysia. PG in Australia, which means that children under 7/8 are allowed to watch, but may need supervision by an adult. It's a 12 in Holland/Netherlands and Germany. German movie censorship board are by the way infamous for being extremely hard on violent movies.
  • Bond beats up a man, and then defeats several more, and he grabs one of their guns. More men arrive, starting a large shootout, and several men are bloodlessly shot and killed. Bond swings on a rope, kicking another in the face, and smashes through a window, escaping.
  • There's a long and destructive chase in city streets in Russia where Bond pursues several men in cars by driving a tank. There's much damage, and the tank crashes though a wall and a truck, and destroys several cars and a statue One car explode and flies into a river.
  • Xenia shoots a large group of defenseless people inside a research center, killing all of them. The aftermath is later shown with blood on their faces . This scene is what earns the Canada 14A rating.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • During the tank chase Orumov is seen taking sips from his flask.
  • Bond drinks in a few scenes.
  • A woman smokes a cigar in one scene.
  • A scene at a party where everyone is drinking wine or champagne. No one gets drunk.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The opening is pretty intense.
  • Some brutal action sequences, but overall, a mild Bond film.
  • The scenes of Natalya almost being killed in the blown up station in Severnaya are intense.

Violence & Gore

  • Alec and Bond get into a brutal fistfight inside the giant antennae, punching and kicking each other, and slamming each other into walls and objects. Bond slides down the ladder on the outside of the antennae, and Alec follows. They continue to fight on the edge, but Bond kicks Alec off, but catches him. He lets Alec fall, and he hits the ground below. Bond then jumps onto a helicopter as the antennae explodes, and it falls and crushes Alec.
  • Alec is shot in the head execution style (offscreen) in the beginning, but he's later revealed to be alive.
  • Bond and Natalya eject out of a helicopter that is blown up by tracking missiles in a large explosion.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • James and Natalya are nearly killed in a helicopter that has missiles flying toward it.
  • Boris is frozen to death by liquid nitrogen. The sight of his frozen body may be disturbing.
  • The place where James meets Alec "Janus" is a creepy pseudo-graveyard. As Bond walks through it, very creepy music can be heard.
