In the opening scene, the kids are shown pushing their wagon with great difficulty, as the tires are encrusted with mud and leaves. But immediately after making their sale, the wheels are suddenly completely free of any such obstructions, and the children are able to ride the wagon swiftly downhill. The key word here being "downhill"... "downhill" making it all possible, as the speed frees the clogged-up wheels.
