Simply Spectacular!
writingy9 July 1999
Wow! I've just seen this film, and it left me stunned. Not knowing anything about this movie, I was unprepared for its scope of humanity, even though it is interconnected and interweaving plots were played through just a few characters. Whether it was the skinheads, the troubled teenage boy and girl, the policemen or the others, they are all hard to look away from as their individual tales unfold and by the end you have a sense that you know more about people in general than you did before. But I cannot say it was wonderful... more like emotionally disturbing. But I guarantee that you will not be able to look away either.

Against racism, without hate
esspen9 August 2000
Movies with neonazicme are normally just hateful against the phenomena. This one goes in-depth, it tells that even the bad guys are human. And it is amusing. A deep, funny movie, political correct maybe but still not the way I am getting so tired of.

Go see it.

One of the best movies EVER!
mr_fredster2 December 2001
I didn't have high hopes for this movie when I bought it. I expected yet another clone of Pulp Fiction. What I got was far beyond my expectations. This movie is without any doubts a master piece. It might have been inspired by Pulp Fiction, but it's absolutely not a clone. This movie stands on its own, with very steady legs. While Pulp Fiction is focused toward action, Tic Tac is primarily focused toward drama. The script is very clever written, the directing is superb, and the actors do an excellent interpretation of their characters. This is without any doubts one of the TOP 20 movies of all time according to me, and an absolute must see.

Hard on the outside, soft on the inside
PhantomCharioteer4 September 2011
This has simply one of the best opening sequences of any film I've seen. I don't have much else to add to the other reviews except this - despite the gritty realism, the film has at its core a kind of romantic humanism. It is really about love. That love comes in various and strange forms, but love drives everything that happens, it makes everyone act the way they do - the good and the bad. See it, see it, see it! It seems I have to write a minimum of ten lines before IMDb considers this a review. Well, blah blah blah blah. Cucumbers. Nodules. The dog at sea films acorns, awaiting his master the wind. Right. Ten lines. Ignore the last 3.

Disappointing
AndersHo25 September 1998
Another Tarantino copy, childishly proud of its non-chronological plot machinations. However, since its cartoonish characters not only lack depth but seldom leave the realm of caricatures, the film is a waste of the viewer's time. A saving grace is the skillful camerawork which helps to keep the tempo up. It is also a consolation, in comparison with Tarantino's work, that the violence is not presented as entertaining.

Brilliant !

Tic Tac is a series of histories connected together in an mind-boggling way. Daniel Alfredson is genius together with his writer Hans Renhäll in turning our sense of time and occasions. Superb Swedish work. Stå på, Daniel. :)

Mildly Amusing But That's All
michael-daniels-845212 April 2018
I have no idea if this movie is intended to be a comedy, but that's the way it leads other than a burst of violence in one part of the film. It seems to focus heavily on stereotypes so much so that one feels the movie could have been made in the 70's. It lacks any kind of real focus, and it's too disconnected in time to make any real sense, nor are these characters, "connected" in any true sense. It's disjointed and frankly too unbelievable to have any kind of merit or message in the text of the movie. Sadly not one of Sweden's best efforts.

NOT a Pulp Ficition-ripoff!
tovesn10 March 2003
This is one of my favourite movies of all time, and I must say that it's not a Pulp Fiction(another of my favourites)-ripoff, as some people say. It's a totally different story, the only thing they have in common is the setting. And another thing, a part of the movies is shot in Hallonbergen, where a friend of mine lives. Moahaha...

What a great movie
Ville_kullenberg16 May 2012
This movie is so complex yet so simple. It does demand a lot from the viewer because of its complexity but it's definitely worth taking away all distractions for this epic masterpiece.

Although, after reading a few comments regarding the movie I'm surprised by the fact that the director Daniel Alfredson isn't getting the credit he should'vie had. Movies like these are certainly hard to make especially considering how well perfected this one is. A truly unforgettable experience. Great movie 10/10

Just to add a little, what's really admirable is how well the ending plays out.

Excellent.
Henke-412 August 1998
I must say that this is probably the best Swedish film I´ve ever seen after Ingmar Bergman´s "Persona". Superb directing, terriffic acting, and Flaskkvarteten´s raw and unpolished music gives the film an almost unforgettable touch. Excellent work, Daniel Alfredsson!

I give the most of my credits to Hans Renhäll actually
Jonathan_Lehtonen6 May 2001
i agree with other comments that this is in a pulp fiction style, but it's not a ripoff! that's for sure. Anyway, it takes a great writer in the process of doing films like this (or films in general) and that's why Hans gets most of the creds from me =) Great work

Very good movie
Walle-211 September 2000
Very good swedish movie, one of the best i´ve seen actually. A few stories linked together as one or something like that.

Good actors, good script pretty much everything is good. The only bad thing is that one of the stories was pretty boring.

I give Tic Tac a.......8.5/10

Wake up guys! There is no clue from Pulp Fiction in this movie!
petersson817 January 2012
Has anyone seen this movie, who tells that this is a "Pulp Fiction" clone? Come on! There is absolutely NOTHING to do with Pulp Fiction here! This is not a funny movie, not a black comedy, there is no action and no shooting.

Why does everyone call a movie, which has a time-mixed-up story telling "Pulp fiction" clone? If a movie. It's a very interesting method to make a movie.

So please DO NOT Believe those reviewers who say "Pulp Fiction clone". Those guys did not watch Tic Tac or did not watch Pulp Fiction. It's like I'd say "the Inception is a Matrix-clone". That's a bullsh#t. Like in this case as well.

So go and watch this excellent and not-a-typical Swedish movie!

Bad "pulp fiction" copy.
runnerludd9 December 1999
This is just another Swedish copy of a famous Hollywood movie. It is called "a Swedish pulp fiction", it's true, a direct copy and nothing more. Some of the characters are funny but they doesn't bring the movie up. Don't waste money renting it, watch the original, "pulp fiction".
