superb documentary of Hine and his extraordinary contribution to History
susan_rose24 September 2006
This documentary is a veritable window into history. It chronicles a man dedicated to lifting up his fellow man, seeing the hope in those who have every reason to be hopeless... Hine and this documentary capture the spirit of man to create achievements beyond reason and logic. Incomparable! The Artistry of the film is likewise captured with the salient comments of Jason Robards and Maureen Stapleton. The film editing, combing the still photos with movies of the time, and interviews with workers doing the work captured on the film takes one from today back into a factually precise view of the realities of our grandparents and great grandparents. The film documents how market forces outpace laws and how one person can change the world. What one can perceive, one can do!
