Bella Min Bella breaks out of conservative suburbia
imdb-1647730 November 2006
As political and social issues become obvious and apparent for young people in this film, a remarkable piece of subtle self criticism takes place... Astrid Henning-Jensen has portrayed a cross section of characters with all the characteristics of real suburban escapists. The direction permits the revelation of awareness and, although often deemed as a struggle for legitimacy, a clear glimpse of future leaders from the newer generation. Each member of the cast carries a soft direction from Astrid Henning-Jensen. A fine delivery by actors... including the controlled passion and youth-adopted, submissive deception behaviour that is can be a public face required in the often strict western boundary conscious societies experienced by youths. Boundaries that are eventually lifted and even subsequently abused by seemingly responsible parties - (Erik)...

So, credit to the director for leading a convincing insight into suburbia of that previous decade - '85-95. And flawless performance by all cast involved. Nice work. Worth watching, bring a friend.
