Debut feature from Metro's "Babes Illustrated" series boasts an enthusiastic, sexually proficient cast, and sets the stage for quality lesbian cinema. This sort of approach has been superseded in recent years by the more naturalistic content of all-girl labels like Girlfriends Films, Sweetheart Video and Filly Films, plus the glossy Gamma Entertainment ("Girlsway", "Mommy's Girl", etc.).
Dyanna Lauren and Lynn Lemay are doing a photo shoot of swimsuit models, clearly patterned after those popular Sports Illustrated annual issues. The plot is infighting among the models to get prime shooting assignments and ultimately win a reader's contest for Swimsuit Model of the Year.
Each of the five girly hook-ups is arousing and well-shot by cameraman and co-director Jane Waters (male despite hiding behind moniker "Jane"). The designation of underhanded girls vs. nice girls seems to have been decided by filmmaker Harold Lime by flip of the coin, but the fake dramatics don't matter in a vehicle that combines hot XXX sex with undeniably satisfying soft-core cheesecake content when the girls are posing rather than humping.
Lesbian icon Felicia is strong as expected, but ill-served by the credits, misspelled as "Felicia" and left off entirely from the end credits. Fans of Lemay in particular will want to watch this one, an excellent showcase of her enlarged breasts era of her career.
