Cash Markman's script for "Bottoms Up" is worse than his usual. It's a ridiculous imitation of "Cheers", and he twice takes time out for the cast to remark on how similar they are to the popular TV show, noting that all the cast's first names are the same as those on TV. They conclude that somebody stopped into the bar and copied all their names! How's that for a Trumpian projection on the issue of plagiarism?
Randy West owns the bar, and seems to be reading his lines from cue cards (he keeps looking down as if they're displayed down towards the floor). He offers a corvette he owns as a prize in a contest (sexual rather than beauty) and plans to cheat the winner.
It's a boring junker, with lousy music and mechanical sex, with two different scenes both staged with sex on a pool table. Cast does a poor job overall and it ends up in the loss column for director Jim Enright, whose work I usually enjoy. Note that despite the title and jokes about anal sex there is no anal sex performed in the video.
