I'm not all that familiar with the output of Alex de Renzy but after seeing the wonderful Pretty Peaches (1978) and the strange but certainly worth watching Long Jeanne Silver (1977) I must say that I excpected more than this uninspired mess.
The plot of Chinese Fortune Cookies is a rudimentary gangster revenge story that's basically only there to frame the sex scenes, which are unerotic to the poit that most actors seem to have trouble staying erect. The fact that the film cuts from sex to child abuse and animal cruelty certainly is not helping matters either.
To top it all off, the film is poorly dubbed as well. I wouldn't recommend this one at all. Give Pretty Peaches a watch instead.
