A good film that resembles reality!

Warning: Spoilers
One of the most well-known films that the legendary Greek actress Aliki Vouyioyklaki did with her real life husband, Demetris Papamichael.

(Minor spoilers follow.)The film starts as a Cinderella-type story, where the poor but talented usherette in a theater (Marina) is discovered, trained and finally become famous by a very popular actor (Demetris Razelos). Of course they eventually fell in love and get married. Then the story takes a dark turn and the usual "A Star is Born" story is repeated, that is the former usherette becomes more and more successful, while her husband's career goes overboard. This eventually affects their marriage.

The big irony is the second part of the story totally reflects the real life marriage of the stars Vouyiouklaki and Papamichael, since the late actor felt constantly that his wife over-shone him and they had terrible fights over this and they were finally divorced.

One of the highlights in the film is where Marina, still an usherette, is chased by Eva Tzami, the star actress of the theater. Eva Tzami is portrayed splendidly by Katerina Helmi. Ms. Helmi is a very distinguished theater actress, that however is mostly remembered her by that scene ("Tsakisou, Tsakisou..." :p).

Another highlight is when Marina, now at the hight of her career, cries and laughs at the same time when she realizes that she has become a slave to her own public image.

A number of great songs make the film even better. Watch it!
