Aakhri Sanghursh was a remake of Godfather, just as Dharmatma, Dayavan, Zulm Ki Hukumat, Aatank Hi Aatank, Sapoot, Sarkar.
The film was inspired from Godfather.
The film was Hit at the box office but not that big as compared to Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty's pairing in previous big hits like Waqt Hamara Hai (1993) and Mohra (1994). Sapoot was still a hit and its box office returns were better than Hum Hain Bemisal (1994) also having Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty's pairing.
After Yalgaar, Feroz was toying around with several ideas for his next film. He wanted to remake his film Dharmatma as "Agnikund" with Anil Kapoor as the Godfather. Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty were to play his sons. Music was by Anu Malik. Anil Kapoor refused "Agnikund" in 1994 because he did not want to play father to Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty. Feroz Khan had sold the audio , the overseas video and theatrical rights To Venus for 2.4 crores. Feroz Khan shelved the idea once again when the casting did not work. Somehow Agnikund's story was leaked out and the film Sapoot was made. Feroz took this in his stride and started work on Prem Aggan with Akshaye Khanna and Mamta Kulkarni. Feroz then decided to scrap Prem Aggan and start Janasheen with Akshaye Khanna and Mamta. When Fardeen arrived back in India in 1995, he expressed his desire to act. Feroz decided to put Janshaeen on the back burner and restart Prem Aggan with Fardeen Khan and Meghna Kothari.
Final film which KK Raj shot for. After shooting for this film he left to Gujrat to shoot for a Gujrahi film Raj Ratan 1997 where he passed away after suffering an heart attack.
