1985 was quite a year for Christy Canyon. She was young, beautiful, and taking the adult film world by storm. It didn't take long for her to get over any initial awkwardness. After just a couple of films she was giving dynamite performances, and the camera and fans both loved her. It didn't matter that most were grind-'em-out dreck. Christy's presence was almost always enough to overcome even the most shallow productions.
"Dirty Shary" is typical. The story is extra-flimsy and production values are very low. If you're a Christy fan, of course you'll want it. Your main complaint probably will be she's not in it enough. I have a special love for the early work she did, in 1984 and '85 before the first of her many sabbaticals from the scene.
Oh yeah, there are other women in the video, too. Beverly Bliss is forgettable. Colleen Brennan's scene is not up to her regular high standards. On the other hand Heather Wayne is very entertaining, as usual. This "B-list" girl rates an A in my book. The video's best scene might be the one with Bunny Bleu and handsome devil Steve Drake.
