In the days of warm down
MadFish24 January 2006
The second movie based on Mauri Sariola's novel offers great basics for a thrilling study of man's divided morale.

Anyway Valentin Vaala can't use the material in his late days and "Totuus on armoton" turns out just a happy story of two different men. Characters are too lame and the plot is missing some necessary roughness for a true dark story like this one to get the painful situations needed. One can only think how many good movies could be filmed from Sariola's 67 leftovers!

This became to be Vaalas 44th and last work. Although he made his best pieces more than 20 years before this one we can still notice the great way he pictures individuals.
