- Felix the Cat is hungry, but he has no money. First, he goes to a tea room. The advertising sign is a teakettle. Felix uses the question mark over his head to tip it over and magically pour tea into his mouth. The owner inside drives him off by throwing dishes and pans. Felix finds a poster advertising Mammy's Flapjack Flour. He magically steals the flapjacks from the black mammy holding them. She comes to life and emerges from the poster to chase Felix, who uses the flapjacks and the exclamation points over his head to form a handcart and get away. She continues the chase. Felix employs more cartoon magic to make an airplane and finally escape her. Felix is still hungry. He spies the pony express below. The horseman is delivering sausage links to "the boys." Felix uses his tail as an umbrella to float down and fall into the bag. When the food is delivered to the western gunmen, it's all inside Felix. Felix switches off the lights. In the dark, fists fly and guns fire. When the lights return, Felix has the upper hand on the gunmen and finally triumphs over them. Later, he has an even more dangerous battle with Indians.—J.
