- Time traveller Frank Mackay comes from the future where men are immortal and women have died out. When zapping through time he hit upon mention of a novel wonderfully entitled Tigerstripe Baby is Waiting For Tarzan. He falls in love with the author Laura Luna without ever having seen her, and now absolutely must find her. First, however, he meets newly-weds Louise and Theo, who give him a ride to Berlin. Louise is immediately smitten by his impenetrable, charismatic man, but she is unable to distract him from his mission for very long. He finally reaches Laura. The trio start to live together as a family in a country house that belongs to Laura's father. They sleep together every night, and the two women later find themselves pregnant. Laura finishes her new novel called Utopian Life, and invites her father and her publisher to the house for dinner. Theo, angry and jealous, follows the publisher's car to the house ...—L.H.
