Adult star Cameo is literally the title character in this silly attempt at spoofing film noir in XXX mode. She's a damsel in distress named Nancy Truth, who has the misfortune to drop in one night, completely nude and carrying a murder weapon, at detective Frank Chandler's office.
Randy West, who successfully scored several crossover roles in non-porn movies, plays Chandler in stereotypical fashion, and director Duck Dumont (should have gone into animation) throws in occasional Venetian blinds-styled shadows on his cheap sets in a vain attempt to suggest the look or feel of those '40s classics.
As presented here the murder mystery is completely uninteresting and barely distracts from the requisite and frequent sex scenes. The non-ending has Chandler supposedly solving the case suddenly off-screen, a cheap cheat on the viewer. Of course, the video-makers were punking the audience in the first place -they know that porn content (by 1990) was already the be-all and end-all of these so-called "movies", now shot on video.
Chessie Moore steals the show with her usual ability to handle two studs at once. Jamie Gillis and Ed Powers ham it up very poorly as two bad guys leftover from THE MALTESE FALCON. Elements of a spoof, perhaps on the order of the underrated George Segal flop THE BLACK BIRD, were here, but the demands of XXX entertainment took over.
