It's about time a man gets to tell his side of the story.

Divorce court isn't pleasant for wacky Hugh Herbert who can't get a word in edge wise, with wife Victoria Horne and "prune face" mother-in-law Minerva Urecal (always a welcome presence even in the worst films) dominating everything. They even manipulated a proposal out of him, so it hasn't been the easiest of unions. Actually, Horne (who resembles Joan Davis) is completely manipulated by her mother, who obviously manipulates everything leading up to the day in court, misinterpreting situations with Jean Willes. Funny situations galore and a smart setup that even nay sayers about Herbert's shtick will be able to tolerate. Herbert trying to boil oranges and juice eggs is a very funny moment, something you'd expect from a 50's sitcom housewife.
