"Klondike Casanova" is a Popeye cartoon made after the Fleischer Brothers stopped animating him and Paramount's Famous Studios took over. Like these later cartoons, it's in color...but they sure chose some odd and occasionally garish colors. Regardless, the plot is pretty typical of a Popeye cartoon...except for the locale and Bluto's French-Canadian accent!
The story begins in an odd saloon run by Popeye and Olive up in the Klondike during the gold rush...odd because they only seem to serve ice cream sodas and sandwiches. When Dangerous Dan McBluto arrives, everyone runs...except for the proprietors. As you'd expect, McBluto makes eyes at Olive and she reciprocates. Then, when he tries to grope her and she objects, McBluto abducts her and it's implied he's going to force himself on her! And, as you'd expect, Popeye gives chase and stops Bluto from committing yet another felony.
This is pretty much the same plot as 80 or more percent of all the Popeye cartoons. Reasonably well animated and no real surprises her...aside from Olive Oyl doing what appears to the audience as a striptease before McBluto arrives.
