Reporter Gene Ross, covering the production for Adult Video News, wrote how the "Super Hornio Brothers" seemed disaster bound, with 37 pages of script and 10 sex scenes being shot in just two days, involving strange sets, costumes, and weird makeup. Even director Buck Adams was made up, with bleached hair turned yellow, playing the villain King Pooper. The production was cut back from three days (as proposed by original backer Sin City) to two days (as provided for by new backer Midnight Video), with the addition of unscripted sex scenes so that a single movie could be expanded into a two-parter. Buck handled the rewriting himself, on set, as well as often running the camera. One critic described the end results as "very confusing."
