Another excellent movie from director Mr.Bharathan and his co-worker/script writer Mr.John Paul. This team has always created some wonderful plots for Malayalam viewers. Mr.Paul usually narrates the untold/unexplored side of human life often with a emotional touch and high sense of originality. When this master writer teams up with Mr.Bharathan, nothing short of soulful movies can be expected. This movie narrates the story of an old age couple who don't have any children. One day a young girl (Parvathi) came to their life and later gets married with another person (Devan) under the couple's blessings, the movie get a twist when Parvathi gave birth to a child which leads to her death. With Devan was not in a mental state to take care of this new born, the old age couple become care takers, and slowly realizes their young age playing with the inborn. The story is goes on with some surprises and finally making all of us cry for the old age couple. Must watch for all drama lovers.

Must watch film on family and belongingness
rtoac128 May 2023
This is a classic from the Malayalam film industry stable of family dramas. It stars veterans Nedumudi Venu and Sharada. Also superbly supported by Parvathy which deserves mention.
The film is a simple story of a retired couple who find belongingness and freedom from loneliness when Parvathy comes into their lives. And later when her child light up their lives. But the sadness despite so much fulfillment are the parts in between. The richness and visual appeal are in the direction and performances, ably supported by songs that blend into the storyline.
An award winning film for the lead cast, one can't get tired of watching it even many times over. A must watch which is sure to fill up your tears and have you smiling in parts.
