The bar scene was shot at "The Room" a bar on Cahuenga Blvd in Hollywood.
The bartender was played by actress Heide Margolis who was the actual bartender of the "The Room" bar where the scene was filmed.
[opening credits] The production team spray painted the "Freeway Entrance" sign covering some letters so that it read "Free Trance." The sign remained like that for months before Cal Trans workers finally replaced it.
