- In season 1, episode 4, "Blue's Story Time," the second clue is a wolf. The toy wolf with the pawprint on it could be frightening to younger viewers. Same goes for the Steve drew it in his notebook and the music that plays along with it during Thinking Time. The toy wolf moves to act out his parts in "The Three Little Pigs," which is what Steve reads, as it was the answer to Blue's Clues. The last scene with the toy wolf could be VERY frightening.

Frightening & Intense Scenes
- In the episode What is Blue Afraid Of? It is centered around coping with fear. Steve and Blue skidoo to a haunted house to help a ghost figure out what the noises are that they're hearing. One of the noise is footsteps, which to a toddler may be a bit unsettling. Also in the same episode the music playing for the first and second clue is a harp and violin, which may sound a little nightmarish, which is the idea.
- There is a scene where Blue the Dog says Goodbye to Steve, a loved actor in Blue's Clues.
