Absurdly Fun!!!

Since I couldn't really understand what was going on due to the language barrier, I will have to describe what I think was happening:

Several kids break into the house of a mad scientist. He gives them pills and sticks them in his machine that gives them super powers and spirit animals. He then directs them to fight crime across the city of Manila.

A gang leader, who is a teleporting clown, wants to take over the city by terrorizing kids with laser eyed ghost wrestlers who are summoned when they play their Nintendo game systems. The Biokids must fight the ghost wrestlers and stop the clown warlord.

When it's 4am and you have nothing to do at work and you randomly come across a Philippine movie that is a knockoff of Power Rangers, you watch it. Even though this movie was in Tagalog (I'm guessing since I don't speak it and it wasn't Spanish), it was hilarious. I highly recommend at least finding the scene of a constipated kid on the toilet being summoned to fight crime.

Watched on YouTube.

Fun Send-Up
katrinka-227 November 1999
Biokids is a fun send up of the Sentai TV series Bioman. It was filmed in the country of the Philippines. It was very low budget, even lower then the original tv show! The movie gave kids the idea that anyone could be a 'Power Ranger'

Parts of the movie couldn't be understood unless the viewer

has seen the original Japanese tv show. Those scenes look bad, instead of funny to the uniniated. The costumes are a bit hokey, based on the TV series. The production company couldn't afford to create the helmets, so used motor bike helmets instead! The show was badly dubbed to mimic the bad dubbing that BioMan had in the Philippines. Fun send up, highly recommended to fans of Japanese Sentai or heros!

amusingly bad movie

This movie contains very bad voice-overs, a ridiculous plot, and horrendous special effects. I highly recommend that you watch it, but only if you enjoy the torture of watching a really bad movie. You will laugh, you will frown, and then you'll laugh some more.

Warning: Spoilers
A beyond low budget Philippines parody - or perhaps rip-off - of the sentai show Bioman, but you are forgiven if you instantly think Power Rangers as that's the western cultural touchstone for these shows.

The kids spend much of their time fooling with a haunted house before the mad scientist who lives there gives them some pills - yes, a weird neighborhood dudes gives kids pills and he's the hero - and they become Red Lion 1, Green Dragon 2, Blue Eagle 3, Yellow Tiger 4 and Pink Panther 5.

You have to give it to Mr. Clown for saying screw Warner Media and just straight up dressing like the Joker, as well as having a plan where every time a kid plays a video game, they unleash monsters called Exxor, which all have one host that ends up taking over Mr. Clown's scheme, which maybe says to me he's not that good at what he does. I mean, never train your replacement.

If you found the budget of sentai shows to be too high and the shows to make too much sense, I invite you to let Biokids break your will.
