Many extras are local people from Mauritius.
After Le jeune Fabre (1973), Véronique Jannot decided stopping her studies and to accept to star in this movie. In her biography, she recounts that during the filming in Mauritius: "Every Sunday we went on a picnic on 'Ile aux Cerfs', a completely deserted island with a straw hut in the middle and a magical lagoon where the sand feels like silk. Several of my partners, Claude Titre, Jean Vinci, Jacques Buron have made us discover nudism. It's something that seems to come naturally to them. It's a bit more difficult for me and my mother."
Despite being a family-friendly TV series (it was called "feuilleton" in French), some episodes show the nudity of the two leading stars, then only sixteen.
