This was the second "Sex Trek" comedy to be written by Marc Cushman, but the third to be produced. Days before the start of production, actor Mike Horner was detained in Europe where he had been filming, and director Scotty Fox asked Markman to whip up a replacement script that would exclude the presence of Mr. Sperm. Markman had 24 hours to deliver. The title of that new script (and movie) was "Sex Trek: the Search for Sperm," a take-off, in title, of "Star Trek III: the Search for Spock" and, story-wise, a rip-off of the notorious "Spock's Brain." "Wrath of Bob," then, was held back several months before being placed before the cameras.
