"Kuzis, stari moj" is an adaptation of Zvonimir Majdak's novel about a life of a poor youth in Yugoslavia. It isn't a bad movie, but if you aren't interested in the portrayal of something like that, you won't like it. There aren't a lot of deep scenes, cool moments or anything that could attract a foreigner to watch something like this for fun. You should only watch this movie if you are interested how the poor lived in Yugoslavia and if you are somewhat familiar with the pulse of culture and literature in second part of 20th century. Otherwise you will waste your time on a movie where a guy sleeps with women and tries to woo a girl which doesn't talk.

Charles Dicken's Old Zagreb

The acting isnt phenomenal but the movie is based on a popular book of a life in Zagreb. In the movie you will see the main character and his friends living "on the edge" everyday, husting, having fun, chasing girls. The movie is quite naturalistic - poverty, rape, prostitution, alcohol something like Charles Dickens in Zagreb.

The main character isn't very driven to live a normal life he said he would rater live a more fun but shorter life then long and boring.

I love how the movie portraits Zagreb life, "hoolingans", zagreb accent and tougher life. On the other hand the movie shows cutscenes within the movie of an interview with the main character in the streets where he gives his view on life. And viewing the movie you see his experiences and what his answers on life are based on.
