- The temples are eerie environments with many monsters, but nothing too horrible. The Game Over screen implies a devil-like creature who is the main villain has returned to life.

- At the end of the game, Dark Link jumps out of Link and you have to defeat him to complete the game. Dark Link looks like Link, but is a shadow of him.
