If you're going to watch good 80's hardcore, this is it. Candy Evans "delivers" the performance of a lifetime! It's not often you get to see a performer of her caliber...drinking whisky and even calling for it ("My drink! My drink!"). The bizarre yet seductive Elle Rio speaks about ten words of english and absolutely "nails" her scene with Ron Jeremy and, um, the other one. Rudolf Eckmann and Jack Baker act as filler and are hysterical. Sitting at a table in what's supposed to be a bar, Eckmann rambles about "lost dreams" and "endless passion" while Baker calls him "Sponge". Produced by Gregory Dark. Find it today!
On paper, this one is stacked. Post New Wave Hookers, red hot Greg Dark producing legendary pioneer director Gerard Damiano with a solid 80s cast featuring Candy Evans, Buffy Davis and Keisha in a small early role under the Hustler Magazine branding. Sadly, it ends up mostly uninspired. A drunk guy rambles stories about strippers to get his buddy buying more drinks. This is the barebones narrative to set up a series of mostly unconnected scenes. Damiano shows a bit of style here, and you get a glimmer in the opening that this maybe could have had some class in another era, but overall it's more functionary than entertaining and budget shooting on video isn't really an excuse. I don't know the behind the scenes details, but I wouldn't be surprised if the final scene featuring a DP with Elle Rio was shot by Dark since it feels tonally different from the rest of the film. It all ends up feeling like a lot of missed potential. Worth watching if you're a fan of one of the ladies (none of the sex scenes are bad), but not much to offer as a narrative experience.
