Lurking in one of Alpha Blue Archives' "Brutal Underground" boxed sets is BARONESS NICA, a lady designed to impress the fans with her strong-medicine s&m antics. I was impressed by its varied but consistently nasty content.
Back in 1972 sheltered individuals like me were getting a taste of cinematic porn in the vein of DEEP THROAT and other light-hearted romps, only to be soon exposed to the dark side of DEVIL IN MISS JONES. But an "underground" constituency existed for the likes of NICA, gradually developing into the extremely rough late '70s and early '80s work of specialists like Phil Prince, Carter Stevens and Joe Davian.
The title role actress is unknown, and we don't even get to see her face beneath a black leather fetish mask.
