Finnish excellence!
Sorsimus10 November 2002
A truly remarkable film that goes to show, that a good idea married with with enthusiasm can overcome the limitations of a small budget. It tells a story of a sculptor that returns to her home town in northern Finland to make two statues, an angel and a devil, for the town church.

The story occurs on two levels: the past, involving her dead father and his importance to the community as a preacher, and the present, where the secrets of the past start to surface. The result is a fascinating story that really excels in bringing the two levels together in the final synthesis.

Highly recommended.
