Not up to the usual standard for Kalem two-part releases. The story, except in its possibilities, has no special strength, freshness or interest. It might have been made exciting and would then have been a good commercial offering; but it has been poorly handled and is full of artificialities. The woman's failure with the gun when she had just showed that she could free herself is the most noticeable of these.
