SINGLE FIGHTER is very much a nondescript example of the Taiwanese kung fu movie, made without any 'name' stars and entirely lacking in the kind of distinctive plot elements to make such a film memorable in any respect. This one has an upstanding young hero and the usual criminal gang who must be beaten at all costs. There's violence, rape, and nudity, all of it handled in the most ordinary way imagine, and even worse, the fight scenes take place with a kind of monotonous regularity and exaggeratedly loud sound effects which render them quite the bore.

I really like this movie great fight scenes and a good plot to go along with it. I won't the movie on VHS but my VCR went poof so im waiting for it to be released on dvd in english but not sure if it ever will be, I've been waiting a long while for that to happen. The producers and owners to the rights of the movie may feel they wouldnt make much money off it if they did but I'd buy it. It didnt really receive that much praise from alot of critics out there but I dont really understand why. I really enjoyed it and would watch it several more times if possible. Unlike some of the films from this era and genre this movie actual has a good plot and makes sense throughout the whole movie. This movie is a must see for classic kung fu movie fans.
