This show's not really that funny. For some reason the BBC can't enough of these shows with a host and two teams composed of three people who think they're amusing and in most cases are amusing. This is just the latest one in a long line of these shows and quite frankly the least funny of them.

Jonathan Ross is a good presenter, and he can be quite funny as he's shown on 'They think it's all over', but one does grow tired of the constant homosexual innuendo's aimed at Julian Clary, who does his fair bit of them as well. Plus the show in itself is really not that funny, the games try to be more amusing than they really are, because in actuality they're forced and silly. And there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between the host and the team-leaders, or between the team-leaders themselves for that matter. Phil Jupitus is also quite funny on 'Buzzcocks', but for some reason here he isn't. All in all, I think this show is just a tad bit too much from the BBC and quite redundant, to be honest. They're just milking the same old formula again and again until the point they can't do it anymore. I think with this show that point's been reached. 4 out of 10. (sowwy Jonathan!)

Hosted by the flamboyant Jonathan Ross, this is light entertainment at its best. Team captains Phil Jupitus and Julian Clary are each joined by two popular television celebrities every week and the teams battle against each other for points. Ross shows them clips and asks them questions about the medium that brought them all fame - television.

This uses the same format as NEVER MIND THE BUZZCOCKS and THEY THINK IT`S ALL OVER except where as the aforementioned deal respectively ( And with respect to a degree ) with music and sport IT`S ONLY TV deals with television . But the problem lies with a lack of humour . Julian Clary is camp and unfunny , Johnathan Ross is smug and unfunny , while Phil Jupitus is plain unfunny all of which is a drawback considering this is supposed to be a comedy quiz show , though obviously Clary , Ross and Jupitus delude themselves that they are hilarious . And much of the humour and wisecracks are designed to cause offence , believe me Julian Clary`s innuendos about gay sex aren`t the half of it . Am I alone in thinking there`s a lot of stomach churning hypocrisy involving the presenter and two team captains putting the boot into television shows ? If it wasn`t for television no one would have heard of this trio . Hopefully no one will hear from any of the trio for much longer .

There is a sometimes recurring feature I enjoyed involving the panels trying to guess which one of a trio of monsters actually appeared on DOCTOR WHO and more often than not at least one of the contenders is a more interesting monster than the one that appeared on the show . Peter Davison ( The fifth Doctor ) actually failed to pick the right one which was a Foamasi from the 1980 story The Leisure Hive .

But apart from that highlight I have very little good things to say about the show mainly down to the highly irritating and unfunny regulars who appear on it
