The fourth week of home entertainment releases in January doesn’t offer up a ton of titles, but we are getting several great Blu-ray and DVDs our way that horror and sci-fi fans will definitely want to check out. Arrow Video has put together a badass Two-Disc Limited Edition set for the Thanksgiving-themed cult classic, Blood Rage, and Lionsgate is bringing The Monster, the latest from Bryan Bertino (The Strangers), to both DVD and Blu-ray this Tuesday.
Other releases for January 24th include Wait Until Dark, The Harrow, and Beauty Queen Butcher.

Jim Perry, a host of Card Sharks, $ale of the Century and other game shows, died on Friday after a long battle with cancer, CTV News reports. He was 82.
Perry more or less got his start as the host of the Miss Canada Pageant, a position he held from 1969 to 1980 — the equivalent of Miss USA’s Bob Barker. He then hosted Canada’s Hangman-style game show Definition, from 1974 to its end in 1989.
In 1978, NBC tapped Perry to host its new game show Card Sharks, from 1978 to 1981. He then moved on to host NBC’s revival of $ale of the Century,...

Jim Perry, the host of many long-running game shows including two of the all-time greats -- "$ale of the Century" and "Card Sharks" -- has passed away at the age of 82. Perry was known to many viewers for his years of emceeing the Miss Canada pageant in the '70s and '80s, but let's be sure to remember him as one of the most primed, capable game show hosts of all time. Nowadays we take preexisting celebrities like Wayne Brady and Drew Carey and turn them into game show hosts; Perry was a consummate quizmaster whose explosive energy and auctioneer-like cadence made his various series thrilling.
