The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Princess Iron Fan.
This movie is based on one of the chapters in the famous Ming Dynasty fantasy novel: Journey to the West. The same chapter is also written to the Peking Opera.
What is unique about this movie is its naming. Often, when chapters of from this ancient masterpiece is used, the name chosen is either always about the positive figure, the Monkey King, or the setting of the story. This movie, however, is named after the antagonist in the story, the negative figure.
