The Colored Museum- George C Wolfe
Ravenclaw0721 October 2006
I absolutely LOVED this play. Though I haven't seen this version, my high school performed it this year.

Gauging from the audience's reaction, and my own, even for those not of African-American descent George Wolfe's work is a must read/must see for all! I cannot sum up my feelings about this show in any better way than with these words from our show's director "The show's in your face take on these subjects may be uncomfortable at times, and I think that's good. It is because of these uncomfortable feelings that we force ourselves to step back and question where these stereotypes came from and even more importantly why they still exist"

One of the best plays I ever seen!!!

I recorded this when it came on PBS in the early 90s. My sister took the tape to Alaska with her and now it's lost forever. The Colored Museum is a great play and I highly recommend for it to go to video\dvd. I really wish PBS would televise it again or at the very least, sell the video. This was shown back in the heyday of good programming during Black History Month.

A very worthwhile video to own.
