In several ways, this is obscurity at it's finest. Solstice seizes the player with little to no forgiveness; plunging them into a vast world of interconnected rooms varying from unexplained emptiness to block-puzzling bafflement and beyond.... Linear is hardly the order of the day; as one must hunt the hundreds of chambers that form the fortress known only as "Kâstleröck". And in one daring bid to obtain the six shards of the Staff of Demnos, the aged but great wizard Shadax must free a princess and his world from the impending, torturous clutches of the abominable.... Morbius the Malevolent!
Solstice - The Quest for the Staff of Demnos features.... *Roughly 250 intertwined rooms in special Isometric 3D View *Great longterm challenge *Infamously acclaimed soundtrack by the legendary Tim Follin *Lost keys, four unique potions and extra lives to use and find *No save feature (But does contain scattered Continue Credits)
I highly commend the game, and recommend it to those who aren't fazed or daunted by large and frustratingly puzzling locales. Enjoy!
